Christmas Lodge

It is a cold and blustery day here. We had a bit of excitement at the Library where I work. The power started to go on and off at about 10 min to 4:00. It went off then came back on a couple of minutes later and just as we were about to get the computers back up it would go off again. This happened a couple of times and then it went off and stayed off, the trouble with this was that our assistant manager was in the elevator at the time. The custodian and manager managed to get the outer door open but could not get the inner one open. So after much discussion with the on call maintainence and not being able to contact the elevator service, 911 was called to come and try and force the door. And of course since this had been done the power decided to come on, our assistant manager was able to get out, just as the fire men arrived and the manager had to say thanks for coming but she's out. But they had not even gotten out of the parking lot before the power went out again. So after an hour we were given the word to close the library for the evening. My shift ended at 5:00 so I still had my full day but the evening shift got to leave early.
