Going Green - Altered Altoids Tin Sewing Kit

In this months Going Green we altered Altoids Tins to make sewing kits. We used a 1960's sewing book with the cutest images. I had cut the pages from the book so that I could lay them out and the ladies could all get a look at them and choose which one they wanted to work with.

I could have left them in the book but figured that would take to long for each one to flip through all the page and choose.

We attached the page to the top and decorated it with measuring tape ribbon and buttons and gears.

To fill the inside we made needle books with felt inside for needles and pins.  Floss cards were used to wind thread on.

Everyone also got a seam ripper, needle threader, thimble, saftey pins and buttons to fill there box.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this lovely sewing kits.

Thanks for stopping by!
