Going Green - Cards
Every month at the Library where I work I host a craft program called Going Green. I have between 10 and 20 Ladies who come and make something fun. The craft is either all or partially made of repurposed items. In the January program we made the cards above. The repurposed items were tissue boxes. Instead of designer paper we used tissue boxes to create an interesting card.
The stamps sets are all Stampin' Up! though most are retired, except for those used on the bottom right card. Those sets are Four Frames and Tiny tags. Some of the card stock colors are also retired, but coordinated so well with the tissue boxes.
Here are some close ups of the cards.
In the next card I also repurposed a doily and a book page. This card and the one above have elements from the same style of tissue box. Each lady got two colors to work with so her cards were even more unique. The boxes were the small square ones, one side made the top card and the bottom card used the oval piece that you tear off to open the box. I thought it was a clever use of a premade shape.
I just wanted to share a little bit of turning trash into treasure. Hope you enjoyed them.
See you soon.
