Steampunk Rose

I have been working on some cards for the upcoming Big River Steampunk Spring Fair.

I am working on getting a nice mix of masculine and feminine. The rose card started out as a dictionary page print that didn't quite work. The quote overlapped an image on the page making it hard to read. The rose however was so pretty I didn't want to just recycle it, so it became the focal point of this card.

A few shabby chic details and a lovely greeting complete the feeling of Victorian Romance. A couple of gears, because why not, add a nice contrast to all the feminine details.

I am entering the Rose card
in a Crafty Cardmakers Link party.
